Use Intuition to Market Your Counseling Practice

Using Intuition to Market Your Counseling Practice
To kick off our summertime picnic series, our first call was about how to use your intuition to market your counseling private practice (or your coaching practice.)

What is intuition? Some call it a “gut feeling.” Others call it a “heart feeling.” I think it is a deep or instinctive knowing.
Yet life is so fast these days and the burdens of the economy and work can take their toll. It is often hard enough just to get through the demands of daily life. Is there really a way to tap into our intuition?
It all starts with clearing a space. Taking the time to quiet down and be open to the inspiration that presents itself everyday.
It is in that deep knowing – in that place free of fear – that we can see the vision clearly. We can be open to the miracles of opportunities that we are presented with daily.
Then what? And how does that relate to building a private practice?
As Don said on our call “Intuition is the sum total of all you know. The process of accessing it is unconscious – it is hidden from you most of the time. Accessing it is kind of like a black box.
Then once you’ve had that flash of intuition we use reasoning to bring that flash into fruition.”
So first, it is about being open, present and available to your intuition and inspirations. Next, it is about analyzing the thoughts and ideas that bubble up and deciding the right next move for you. And if you decide to act on one of these ideas, the next step is to move forward organizing the research or implementing the necessary tasks.
I hope you will find this call interesting. Here are some of the comments we have received so far:
“Thank you, Casey! This was incredibly helpful to have a focused time to look at a specific aspect of the practice building process… thank you!!! All the best…”
“I love this call, this topic–it is so expansive. “
“Thanks Casey! Wonderful presentation!”
“These phone calls allow me to really open up to new ideas. I keep jotting down new areas of interest for my practice as I hear comments that lead me in new directions where I had not previously recognized my passions.”
