Website marketing for therapists

The future is now the present

The future is now the present.

The  questions that have our phone line ringing these days are about websites and internet marketing. After all, the whole website/internet thing can be so confusing.

Vondie, a therapist in southern California, was once very fearful of  online marketing and websites. She called herself a “genuine techno-phobe.” But she also realized that her market (younger people) would be online and she knew she needed to reach them. She allowed herself to be a little fearful and yet slowly began to learn about websites and blogs. Now she has to pull herself away from it, as she enjoys working with the internet so much. “And many of my clients come from the internet,” she reports.

People love to hear Vondie’s story. Because, as I said, the internet can be very confusing. What do you put on the website? How do you make the website attractive to web visitors? Where do you start when creating an internet presence? What makes a good domain name? The questions go on and on.

Many of you have asked us for help. You want to move from fearful and not understanding to Vondie’s confidence with technology.

When you speak, we listen!

Our team got together and decided we need to provide timely, easy-to-understand, information that you could take and start or improve your website presence. We put our heads together and have created  four offerings to help you design your internet presence. I hope one will suit your liking.

4-part Internet Marketing for Therapists Telegroup Series

1) Our very own Coach Tiffany of International Therapist Leadership Institute will be offering a quick-start, 4-session teleseminar series called Internet Marketing for Therapists. This 4-part series taught over the phone and internet will go over the formula we use for creating your website text. Coach Tiffany will show you how to create compelling website text for the home page, your FAQs page, your Meet the Therapist page and the Contact Us page.

This 4-part series will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11-noon Pacific /2-3pm Eastern/ 6-7pm UTC-GMT. For more details, visit Internet Marketing for Therapists.  There will also be a pre-class for those who are very new to internet marketing.

October 13-17, 2009

2) As you may know, we have decided to offer a 5-day Practice Building Virtual Conference October 13-17, 2009.

This is an entire conference taught over the phone and internet.
And boy oh boy, will we address internet marketing. www.practicebuildingconference.com

Peter Hannah, your Google guy, will be talking about  ”The Next Big Thing in Internet Marketing.”

Juliet Austin, practice building coach and my partner in the Build Your Private Practice Exclusive Members Program, will be talking about “Client Attracting Websites.”

Coach Tiffany will be presenting on the “Inside Pages of Your Website.”

I will be presenting on how to create membership sites as a multiple stream of therapy income option.

Plus there will be a lot of other speakers on all types of practice building.

We are still finishing the Practice Building Conference website but if you want to take a peek at what is in store for you so far, you can visit us here: www.PracticeBuildingConference.com

And let us know what you think of the website – while we are still working with the graphic designer to get some pictures on the site. We’d love to know what you think of our developing site and of the Practice Building Conference topics.

3) Finally – this Saturday, July 18 from 9 -noon Pacific time, I will be presenting on Internet Marketing for Therapists for Orange County California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. If you are in southern California, why not pop in, say hi, and learn a bit about websites and online therapist locator listings. Bob, Coach Tiffany and I will be there and would love to see you. But register now to get the lowest price and make sure there is a seat for you. More info here.

4) And you may be interested in an article I wrote a while back called 5 Mistakes That Many Therapists Make when Creating Their Website. You can read it here.

It really warms my heart to see many of you embracing technology – even if it is just to stick your toe in the water. :) I know it might not be easy at first. But as Vondie often says, “If I can do it, anyone can!” Which means you can too. We look forward to seeing you on the web!

And if you have thoughts of other needs you have, please let us know – either Contact Us or put a comment below.

Until next time,
Casey
