Thanks Casey. I have a similar motto — “do what is income producing first”. Then I try to do things that are directly related to successful marketing in the past, like sending thank you notes for referrals. When things are slow, that’s when I start thinking about mailing a newsletter (I know, it should be more regular, but …) or trying to meet a new referral source.

It’s ironic. When things are busy, not as much time to do marketing, which makes things slow down, so then there’s more time to do it!

Thank you Casey for these inspiring words! I have so much marketing information but do nothing with it. In the past, as a life coach, I have given several talks to clubs ie., Rotary, Lions, at the library for the community, I have joined expensive leads clubs, and more. I currently run an intensive outpatient treatment program for alcoholics and opiate addicts, who have mental health disorders as well. I work 10-11 hours a day and am too tired to market for no results. I have recently hired a virtual assistant who is helping me with my web page. I love your workshops and find them very inspiring nd thank you for all you do.

I have a habit of researching and planning and collecting all kinds of great ideas for marketing, and not leaving myself enough time to implement – especially because I want to get everything just right. I know the statement, “Imperfect Action is better than perfect procrastination” is so true. I just have trouble determining how “imperfect” I will let it be before I am willing to “put my stuff out there”. Any thoughts on the degree of imperfection? Thanks so much. Karen
