Spot on with this write-up, I really think this website needs way more consideration. I’ll probably be once more to read much more, thanks for that info.

Thank you Judy for your sweet note, and on Valentine's Day no less! I'm happy to hear that you are tuning in to that very important voice inside you and letting it guide you along your path. I agree with your suggestion about taking time off. Self-care is certainly necessary and we must be sure that we are saving some time for ourselves. Keep us updated on your journey and I hope to hear great things from you soon!

Hugs, Casey

Dear Casey,

I am writing to you for the first time. I am an LCSW in San Diego, embarking on the wonderous and bewildering journey of opening a private practice. I have been in Hospice and Hospitals for the past 10 yrs and due to many HUGE arrows from the Universe all pointing in the direction of private practice, I'm just "doing it." :) I found your book on my shelf over Christmas that I bought 2 yrs ago and never read! But it was "supposed" to happen now. I LOVE your book! Few things have "ever" inspired me as much as The Wealthy Therapist. Since I have nearly been "addicted" to your book, enthusiasm and optimism for a thriving practice since Christmas, your emails seem to come at magically the "precise" moment! Today, I am AGAIN blown away as I have been procrastinating for 3 weeks now about how to start my own website. And there you were! This only motivates me more when feeling that we are inextricably connected, we therapists/helpers! :) So thank you. I now know that I need to start my blog/website and do it myself. I have a small site on Psychology Today and that's going well enough (several calls/emails but all want insurance and thanks to you, I do not!). I have designed new cards but know that I want to put my own site on them as well.

I could ramble forever and sing your praises all day, however, I had better stop now. You are my newest HERO and "mentor extraordinaire." I love you!

Just remembered one thing. Could you put on your list to do a short email video clip on "make yourself take a day off?" I feel myself burning out due to my regular job (caring for seniors/elderly post suicide attempts or ideation), and my tiny business singing for funerals (sounds weird but it was a natural progression from Hospice and my classical singing practice), and trying to market my new private practice. I can't seem to make myself take a day off and I realize that I am no longer able to cry, even at times when I should, which means I am burning out. My finances are extremely limited and I am single (and the ocean is too cold to go snorkeling, my favorite thing ;). Maybe everyone is feeling some of this "burnout" these days, too?

Thank you a million times for ALL the amazing love and support you offer to us. Happy Valentine's Day! :) Judy

Hi Susan, You might try hovering your mouse over the video which will bring up the volume control at the bottom of the video. If the volume is up and you still can't hear, it may be an issue with your computer speakers. Hope that helps!

I am a MFT Intern and just obtained an internship at a private practice, so I haven't had much experience in the private practice setting nor in marketing myself. This video definitely helped, as I am currently procrastinating on finishing my website! Your final point intrigued me the most, and I'm struggling to come up with those types of questions clients would want to know. Do you have some specific suggestions?
